After talking to Marc M. Galal®, one of the most successful sales trainers in Europe, I was determined to give my life a new direction. On the spur of the moment, I started looking for a NLP training facility in my area that did not conflict with my lesson planning in my martial arts school. I quickly found the opportunity in the Munich area, together with my wife, to carry out 130-hour NLP Practitioner training with Dirk Tischer on the weekends and ultimately to successfully complete it. I followed Mark Galal's recommendation to immediately leave my comfort zone and change something in my consciousness! At that time, I weighed over 104 kilograms!

Looking back at the 80s Swish 1

When I was young I ran six kilometers a day through the forest for fitness reasons and often up to fourteen kilometers on weekends. I had my ideal weight of 74-79 kilograms and was in top athletic shape at the beginning of the 80s in order to successfully win the full-contact all-style karate championships (probably more like the “K1” today). One of my role models was Bruce Lee at the time and I looked just as fit at the smart age of around 19. At some point my job and later my family got more priority and I only ran sporadically every now and then until a few years ago, as a full-time self-employed martial arts teacher, I got the catastrophic finding of my doctor: "Gon arthorosis grade 3-4" both knees! It was now over with running and in the acute phase I could only move back down the stairs and forward only with assistants. In my school, colleagues and students helped me through the unbearable phase! How should it go on? My life dream of giving up my martial arts school was not an option for me, as was a prosthetic operation! I was convinced that my situation would be bearable again with natural means and I was able to teach on the mat largely painlessly again. In order to be able to hold five or more lessons without pain relievers later on some days, I intuitively developed the strategy of teaching more with the mouth than with the body. I compensated for my physical activities with speech and writing and began to write and publish articles for I-Ching, Hapkido self-defense, fitness and much more for Taekwondo Aktuell magazine over a period of eight years over a period of eight years. I have learned a lot about awareness work in the past years and visually approached the cozy figure of an enlightened Buddha! I got used to my now primarily spiritual life and was actually quite satisfied - I thought, or rather I wanted to accept it that way! It wasn't until I visited my friend and martial arts master Perry Zmugg in Austria at the Hapkido Summit to report in the HAPKIDO magazine that I was almost struck when I also discovered photos of myself. It had absolutely nothing to do with the guy I thought was my self!

Mindset change Dirk Tischer

So I should lose weight urgently! However, it was already November and it was too cold for cycling, and running was also not an option for the aforementioned health reasons. Since I rarely came home from my daily hapkido or kickboxing lessons before 10 p.m., it was possible to change my diet, but it was difficult to implement. Frankly, I also lacked motivation and will to count calories. But what prevented me from getting my previous weight and athletic figure back? The answer is frighteningly simple: "Only myself!" My conviction gained in the NLP: "You can do EVERYTHING you want!" Made me make a decision; Until my NLP final exam weekend, I wanted to lose 30 kilograms simply by training on the punching bag. It was clear to me that this was health nonsense, but I set myself this high goal according to the motto: “You have to bend the stick over so that it gets straight at the end!”, On November 11, 2018, at our 3rd NLP practitioner At the weekend I made it public in front of the 20 or so participants and brought my “onesie”, which is now over 35 years old. I sewed this one myself based on the pattern of Bruce Lee's yellow suit: "The game of Death" to train with him. My goal now was that this old suit should fit me again within a year at the latest. Dirk Tischer (see picture) showed me some very helpful formats from the NLP (Neuro-Lingusitic Programming), with the help of which it was easy for me to make my dream come true and so I got to work with the NLP Tools to work out a concept for realization. I started with the well-formedness criteria for goals, the so-called SMART tool! I brought about my change of consciousness with the " SWISH " NLP format, in which I became aware of the current situation with all the feelings that can be experienced through the five senses (me, over 104 kilograms and 10 more years into the future beyond looking in a wheelchair) to then overwrite it in my mind's eye according to the NLP procedure with the ideal image (me, under 80 KG, in a blue romper suit, see picture) with a sevenfold "Swish movement"! The beginning was done and I needed a strategy that suited my current situation. I decided not to starve and save calories, but to burn extra fat! A punching bag, 40 minutes of power training every day and another NLP- TOTE . Format, test-operate-test-exit that I used with an Excel table (see article header) to check my success. Less than three months later, for the NLP Practitioner final exam on February 20, 2019, I had reached my 50% goal! I learned from my NLP instructor Dirk Tischer: " Only the flexible control the situation " and so in the meantime I adapted my goal to my eco-check! (My skin shouldn't suffer from the campaign) At the end of my NLP master's thesis, which I will finish in July, the remaining 50% is due by February 2020! The sequel will follow in HAPKIDO magazine 2020-01!
